In 2017, the cost of housing in Spain increased by 6.2%

Prices for new buildings last year increased by an average of 5.9%. In this category, increases are observed for four years, but the most significant growth (6.5%) was recorded in 2016.

In the secondary market last year, housing increased by 6.3%, and the maximum rate (8.2%) in this segment was achieved in 2007.

With regard to the distribution of prices by region, the most notable growth last year was recorded in Rioja, Asturias and the Canary Islands.
