Open meeting in Adeje for British public to ask UK’s Deputy Ambassador about Brexit

Adeje is hosting a public event at 12 noon on Wednesday, 18 October, in the Aula Magna upstairs in the Cultural Centre. The occasion is a visit by Tim Hemmings, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy, accompanied by Charmaine Arbouin, Consul for the Canaries, to meet with the British public – residents, regular vistors and swallows – primarily to talk to them and address their concerns about Brexit.

VI Trail Run Almendros y Volcanes de Santiago del Teide 8 October

The sixth Trail Run Almendros y Volcanes de Santiago del Teide will be held on Sunday, 8 October, at 10am. The cross-country race is organized by Santiago del Teide’s Sports Department, and as usual will comprise two distances, 30 and 15 km, both on trails in the almond and volcanic medianías of the municipality. Inscription is now open and runners have until 2 October to register, which they can do HERE where there is full information about the event.

Loro Parque finally voted best zoo in the world by visitors  Loro Parque has been there or thereabouts plenty of times, and has previously been named the best zoo in Europe, but it’s its sister venue, Siam Park, that has been voted “the best in the world” for the last four years consecutively. This year, though, Loro Parque has achieved the distinction itself, being voted best zoo in the world by visitors who voted on the TripAdvisor website.
