The number of new mortgages in Spain increased by 12.4%

According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in September, 29 388 new mortgage loans were registered in Spain, which is 12.4% more than in the same period last year, writes Noticia.ru . In total, in the first nine months of the year, about 240,000 loans for housing were issued. In addition, the average loan size, which amounted to about € 123,649, also increased noticeably. As for rates on mortgage loans, the option with a fixed interest becomes more and more popular among customers. Only in September, under a similar scheme, 36.6% of the total number of loans were issued, and this figure was extremely close to the maximum historical record. The share of loans at a floating rate was 63.4%, respectively.
